A short note on thrips (Insecta: Thysanoptera) species from Aspat (Strobilos) Ancient city and its territorium, Bodrum, Muğla

Abstract

This short note provides information about Melanthripidae, Phlaeothripidae and Thripidae (Insecta: Thysanoptera) species of farming terraces in Aspat (Strobilos) ancient city and its territorium, Bodrum, Muğla, western Turkey. Studies were carried out in 2008-2009. As a result of this study, four species were identified. Those were Melanthrips fuscus (Sulzer, 1776), Haplothrips distinguendus (Uzel, 1895), Thrips angusticeps Uzel, 1895 and T.tabaci Lindeman, 1889.
