Morphological, anatomical and ecological investigations on local endemic species Lysimachia savranii (Primulaceae)

Abstract

In this study, the morphological, anatomical and ecological characteristics of Lysimachia savranii (Susuzkargaotu), a local endemic species recently described from Susuz Mountain (Adana/Karaisalı), were investigated in detail. Morphological studies, vegetative and generative organs of the plant were investigated by taking photographs and determining their quantitative characteristics (measurements). Anatomical studies were carried out by taking cross-sections from roots, stems and leaves with a rotary microtome using the paraffin wax method. Also, the ecological characteristics of the area where the species spreads such as soil structure and climate characteristics were evaluated.
