A new record of the genus Echinothrombium Womersley, 1937 (Acari: Microtrombidiidae) from Turkey

Abstract

In this study, description and original drawings of Echinothrombium spinosum (Canestrini, 1885) are given for postlarval forms. Morphometric data for adult and deutonymphs are presented here. Information about habitat and distribution for the species is also provided. The genus Echinothrombium is a new record for the mite fauna of Turkey.
